Rosie Cruise Team Site Visit to Dravuni Island
Rosie Cruise team recently embarked on an exciting site visit to the stunning Dravuni Island, a hidden gem in Fiji’s Kadavu Group. This visit is part of our continued efforts to enhance shore excursion experiences and strengthen our partnerships with local communities and cruise line operators.
Dravuni Island is a true paradise, boasting white beaches, crystal-clear waters, and breathtaking natural scenery. Upon arrival, our team was warmly welcomed by the local villagers, whose hospitality and pride in their island were felt immediately. We explored many of Dravuni’s highlights, including a scenic hike to the island’s highest point. From the summit, we enjoyed spectacular panoramic views over the surrounding reefs — a must-see for every visitor. The team also experienced snorkeling in the vibrant coral gardens just off the beach, filled with colorful tropical fish and marine life.
Beyond exploring the beauty of Dravuni, a major focus of our visit was operational planning. Rosie Cruise is working closely with village leaders to ensure the smooth coordination of guest experiences that meet the high standards of our cruise line partners.

From ship arrival logistics to guest services on the island, every detail is being carefully considered to ensure a seamless, memorable day ashore.
By strengthening these collaborations, Rosie Cruise is committed to creating authentic, smooth-running excursions that leave lasting impressions on every guest, while supporting sustainable tourism and local community development.

We are excited about what’s ahead and look forward to bringing more cruise guests to experience the untouched magic of Dravuni Island. Together with the community, we are proud to offer unforgettable moments that truly showcase the best of Fiji.

From a Tour Guide's Perspective
By: Francis Fuata

Visiting Dravuni Island with our Rosie Cruise team was one of those experiences that reminded me exactly why I love what I do. From the moment we stepped off the boat, I felt a deep sense of peace. The island is stunning — white sand, clear turquoise waters, and the friendliest smiles from the villagers. It’s one of those places that feels untouched, simple, and full of heart.
As part of the Rosie Cruise team, I wasn’t just there to take it all in — I was there to help prepare the island for future cruise visits. We walked the same path our guests will walk, hiked to the hilltop lookout to check timing and accessibility, and snorkelled right off the beach to experience what our passengers will love most.
But what really made this visit special was spending time with the local community. We listened, shared ideas, and worked together to make sure everything we create — from the logistics to the cultural experiences — flows smoothly and respectfully. It’s so important to us that the guests have an amazing time and the village feels proud and included. Standing on that hilltop, looking out over the ocean, I imagined the first group of cruise guests arriving here. I felt excited knowing they’ll experience something real, not just a tour, but a connection to the people and the place.
Dravuni is ready. And I can’t wait to share it.
